Who we are

Memorae is a gift studio run by Rinotec Digital Aid LLC.

Memorae (“we”, “us”) makes personal gifts called Memoraes. When these terms say “you”, they mean the person who buys or owns a Memorae. People who open a Memorae someone sent them are “guests”.

By creating an account or buying a Memorae, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Your account

You must be 18 or over, and you’re responsible for your sign-in.

You can sign in with email, Google or Facebook. Keep access to your email and sign-in methods safe; anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

Give us accurate details, especially your email and phone number: that’s how we reach you about your Memorae, your review and your renewal.

What you’re buying

A bespoke Memorae, made by our team for your date.

Each Memorae is made by people, for one person and one occasion. It usually includes:

• a website about them, with their story, photos and the comments people leave
• a video and a song made for them
• a delivery page they open first
• the tools switched on for that Memorae, such as invitations, RSVPs or comments

You choose the date it’s needed by. When that date is close, a priority fee is added at checkout so the team can make it in time. You’ll always see the full price before you pay.

Prices and payment

You pay the price shown at checkout. Payments go through Flutterwave.

Prices are shown in naira, US dollars, British pounds or euros. The price you see when you start checkout is held for you, even if our prices change.

Payments are handled by Flutterwave. We never see or store your card details. An order counts as paid only once we’ve confirmed the payment with Flutterwave ourselves.

Promo codes and referral rewards apply only as described when you use them, and can’t be exchanged for cash.

Your story and materials

What you share stays yours. You give us permission to use it to make your Memorae.

You keep ownership of everything you send us: answers, photos, videos, voice notes and documents. You give us permission to use them to make, host and deliver your Memorae, and nothing else.

Only send material you have the right to share, and make sure the people in it would be happy to be included.

If you book a story call, we’ll ask before it’s recorded. The recording and transcript are used only to fill in your story so you don’t have to type it again, and a person on our team checks anything drafted from it.

Checking the details

One check of the facts. If you haven’t approved it 12 hours before your day, it’s approved for you.

When your Memorae is ready, we ask you to check it. This check is for the details: names, spelling, dates, and that the right photos are used. The design, animation and music are our craft, and we’ve already perfected them for you.

• You can send corrections once. Add them one by one while you look through each piece, then send them together. We’ll fix them and show you again.
• Tapping “Yes, I love it” approves your Memorae.
• If it isn’t approved by 12 hours before the start of your day (Lagos time), it’s approved automatically so it arrives on time. In the last 24 hours before that, you’ll see a countdown.
• That’s also why we can’t take orders for the same day.

After approval, we prepare it for delivery and give it its own link to share.

Delivery and sharing

Once delivered, you send it to them with one simple link.

Every approved Memorae gets a link on our own address, made from their name and a short code, such as getmemorae.online/m/ada-7k3p. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it with the people you want to see it.

We aim to deliver by the date you chose. If something on our side puts that at risk, we’ll tell you as early as we can.

One year, then renew or let it fade

Online for 365 days from delivery. Renew at 50% off before it ends. No grace period.

Your Memorae stays online for one year from the day it’s delivered.

• In the last 30 days you can keep it for another year at half the price you’d pay today.
• We’ll remind you by email and in your Updates 30, 14, 7, 3, 2 and 1 days before it ends.
• There is no grace period. When the year ends, the website, video, song, delivery page and gift page are taken down and the files are removed. A faded Memorae can’t be renewed or restored.
• If a renewal payment reaches us after the year has ended, we refund it in full.

Download anything you want to keep, such as the video and the song, before the year ends.

Guests, comments and gifts

You decide what guests see. Money guests send goes to the account you choose.

If your Memorae has comments, you approve or hide each one. Guests must not post anything unlawful, hateful or hurtful; we may remove comments that are.

If contributions are switched on, guests pay through Flutterwave straight into the payout account set up for that Memorae. Memorae isn’t a bank and doesn’t hold that money. Contributions close when the Memorae fades.

Refunds

No refunds, unless we fail to deliver by your date for reasons that aren’t yours.

Every Memorae is made by hand for one person and one day, so payments aren’t refundable once made.

• The one exception: if we fail to deliver your Memorae by its due date, we refund you in full.
• Before refunding, we look into what happened, to confirm the delay wasn’t caused on the customer’s side (for example, story details or materials we were waiting for, or a date changed late).
• Questions or disputes about a refund are handled by email with our support team: support@getmemorae.online.
• A renewal paid after a Memorae’s year has ended is always refunded in full.

Using Memorae fairly

Don’t misuse the service or other people’s content.

• Don’t upload anything unlawful, or anything that harms or exposes someone without their consent.
• Don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of Memorae.
• Don’t resell or copy Memorae designs as your own.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules.

Our designs

The designs, music and code we make stay ours; you can use your Memorae personally.

The website designs, templates, illustrations, music and code we create remain ours. You may keep, play and share your Memorae for personal, non-commercial use.

Limits of our responsibility

We work hard to keep Memorae online, but we can’t promise it never goes down.

We take care with your Memorae, but the service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility for a Memorae is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change them, we’ll tell you first.

We may update these terms as Memorae grows. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in your Updates before it applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
